Working Student

River Wind Farm is looking for a motivated, hard-working individual to join our team as a working student for the upcoming show season. This can be a full or part-time position depending on the individual, and will be both at our home farm in Pembroke, MA as well as on the road at horse shows around the New England area. Housing will be provided at the away horse shows but not while at the home farm. This position is unpaid, but will include various opportunities to ride, lesson, and show in return. Daily responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: grooming, tacking and untacking horses, flatting horses, mucking stalls, lunging, wrapping, turning out, bathing etc. This is a wonderful opportunity for a young rider to learn and gain valuable experience both in the barn and in the ring while working alongside a great team! Applicants must have own transportation.

Part-Time Barn Staff

River Wind Farm is looking to add a part-time staff member to our team. The individual in this role will assist in the daily care of the horses, and will include the following responsibilities:

• Feeding and watering the horses

• Mucking stalls

• Turning horses out

• Assisting in the upkeep and cleanliness of the barn

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and reliable. Physical requirements include the ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 lbs. Previous horse experience preferred.
